What it does

“Use when embedding meetings.”
The author's description, from SKILL.md

Generated summary from the skill's own text

This skill guides the agent through planning and implementing embedded Zoom meetings, from selecting the right SDK to designing authentication and join flows for different platforms. It routes to the Meeting SDK for actual Zoom meetings and integrates REST APIs, webhooks, or RTMS only when needed for meeting creation and management.

When to use it

  • Building embedded Zoom meeting experiences in applications
  • Designing meeting creation and join authentication flows
  • Deciding between Meeting SDK and Video SDK for a project
  • Implementing platform-specific meeting integration patterns

When not to

  • Building custom video solutions not tied to Zoom
  • Needing only basic REST API calls for meetings
  • Projects already committed to a different video platform

Install

These commands install from the publisher's repository and need no account.

# /build-zoom-meeting-app

Use this skill for embedded meeting experiences and meeting lifecycle implementation.

## Covers

- Meeting SDK selection and platform routing
- Join/auth implementation planning
- Meeting creation plus join flow design
- Web vs native platform considerations
- Meeting SDK vs Video SDK boundary decisions

## Workflow

1. Confirm whether the user wants a Zoom meeting or a custom video session.
2. Route to Meeting SDK if the user needs actual Zoom meetings.
3. Create or validate the dedicated Meeting SDK Marketplace app before generating signatures.
4. Pull in the relevant platform references.
5. Add REST API only for meeting creation, resource management, or reporting.
6. Add webhooks or RTMS only when the use case explicitly needs them.

## Common Mistakes

- Using Video SDK for normal Zoom meeting embeds
- Mixing resource-management APIs into the core join flow without reason
- Skipping platform-specific SDK constraints until too late
