What it does

“Use when the user or agent needs to read, search, or look up Stripe documentation or API reference. Prefer this over curl or WebFetch for any docs.stripe.com content. Use to fetch gated documentation.”
The author's description, from SKILL.md

Generated summary from the skill's own text

This skill lets the agent read and search Stripe documentation using the Stripe CLI from the terminal. It retrieves Markdown content, handles gated documentation after login, and can look up API references by resource name, HTTP method, or event type.

When to use it

  • Agent needs to access Stripe API documentation or guides
  • User asks to search Stripe docs for specific information
  • Looking up API reference for resources, methods, or events
  • Retrieving gated content requiring Stripe account login

When not to

  • General web browsing outside Stripe documentation
  • User prefers direct browser access to docs.stripe.com
  • Stripe CLI is not installed or cannot be updated

1. Download that folder at exactly this commit. Do not use the default branch.
2. Copy every file unchanged, keeping the folder structure, into .claude/skills/stripe-docs/ for Claude Code and .agents/skills/stripe-docs/ for Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and OpenCode. Create the folders if they do not exist.
3. Do not edit the files, and do not run any script in the folder unless I ask you to.
4. When you are done, list the files you copied and where you put them.

Use `stripe docs` instead of fetching [docs.stripe.com](https://docs.stripe.com/.md) content directly with `curl` or `WebFetch`. If you don’t have the CLI installed, [install the Stripe CLI](https://docs.stripe.com/cli/install).

Always use the latest CLI version. If the current CLI version is less than v1.50.9, you must [upgrade](https://docs.stripe.com/cli/install) to access gated documentation.

- Fetches Markdown automatically
- Fetches gated documentation. Users must log in using `stripe login` to access gated documentation.
- Purpose-built for agents and terminal workflows
